It's crazy how payouts are less than 50% of end-user prices in most of countries, even 15% sometimes!

Is there any global direct carrier billing platform with normal rates ?

I know they depend on the local carriers, but isn't there one who did good contracts with them ?

Rates depend on the country so i'm not sure what service you are looking at, but on Fortumo the highest payout is South Korea with 85%, but the payout cycle is four months. Followed by Romania and Germany in the 70% range, but the payout cycle is three months.

I know, but ~50% or less for all the rest. I wonder what are competitors' rates like Boku...

That’s why it will never be a real viable option. Long payout cycle plus ridiculous stupid fee. Even mobile apps and games don’t use carrier billing.

The solution would be to accept those payments only from the countries where the rates are more acceptable. I wonder which provider has the most convenant prices and the biggest coverage. They are not as transparent as Fortumo so it's not easy to compare when you don't have the data.

There are still apps accepting those payment solutions because despite a smaller payout, the conversion rate is bigger.

Yeah, it's true the conversion rate can be higher in certain countries as more people have phones than probably a credit card. My main issue is the payout cycle.

If anyone has experience with concurrents (Boku, etc), it's welcome

Are you currently using Boku? I just checked their site for the first time.

No, this is why I would be interested to hear about experiences with it
