I looking for some "unbiaised" advise on the 360 Modena with regard to reliability and service costs. I've found a local one here which will accept one of my NSX's as trade for part payment. I don't want to ask these Q's on the specific forums as they tend to stretch the truth about their cars reliability. If anyone could share their genuine experience with this car it would be helpful :)

If it helps I don't want it as a daily drive , I just love flogging fast cars around mountains on the weekend .

a buddy of mine has one, he is thinking of trading it in for for an R8, maintaince is way cheaper.
 
My unbiaised opinion, A puffed up fiat that your nsx would wipe the
floor with if you got it tuned right. If you want some drift round mountains
get a GTR.
 
one of my buddys has a turbo honda civic making 446 whp and he beat the shit out of a 360 spyder lol for me i like imports ....why not get a gtr or a supra?

1) beating a spyder isn't that big of an accomplishment.. I mean... really...
2) it's a civic and the streetability.. ... drivability is shit at 446whp.
3) i could go on and on but we will leave it at that the man currently owns an NSX and is looking to trade up... not down...

Supra is a fat whale of a car and isn't really that fun.

GTR is actually a step in the right direction.

But to the OP. Put it this way... high performance cars require high performance money (saw your post below -- so you know this... ). And if you are looking for "reliability" out of a car like that I think you may want to reconsider what expectations you have from the car. A Ferrari isn't a d.d. plain and simple.

Go find some forums and read owner experiences there and not on a BH forum as your owner base is EXTREMELY limited here.

I have my Red NSX with Comptech Supercharger for the thrill rides , I geuss I'm interested in the Ferrari as thats the boyhood dream , You know so I can say yeah I've done it . I just hear of all the horror stories about maintenance , and correct me if I'm wrong but it has to be done by Ferrari Techs . The beauty of my Nsx's is I do all my own work .

Not sure about the GTR it's just so heavy and too much computer control taking away the pure driving experience . R8 would be a viable option , I don't really like the body lines however .

no your very wrong lol the civic is daily driven and even taken to the store to buy food lol .....im into the whole import secne and i have civics ,toyatas,nissans etc and i must say i love hondas,nissans and dsms the most ....i have a dsm that would beat the brakes off any car you have ..ha ha ha

Sounds like he went to a shop that took advantage of the fact that he left. But in reality has no relation to reliability or maintenance costs.

ah... now it makes sense. I have met one to many DSM owners that act like you.

I am sorry... the disc that has to be in that tranny to handle 446whp is going to be a shit to clutch for d.d. or grocery getting.

Have you thought about the ZR1? its one of the fastest production cars out there.

lmao na its an exedy twin disk its the hardest clutch ever...but you get used to it .....

as of now i have a 91 awd talon ,91 galant vr4 ,96 240sx,05 evo and a 97 honda civic hatchback ...what cars do you have ??im guessing an rx7 right???my boy has one with the ls1 vette motor and that shit is a beast

I don't know much about the maintenance... it's a sweet car though. I've driven it a few times. My rule is that if you're thinking about weather or not the maintenance might be too much for you then you shouldn't be buying the car. Just wait for a bit longer, make your self more stable and then buy it when maintenance isn't going to be an issue for you. Don't buy a car and kill yourself maintaining it. I'm sure there are several people on this forum that can afford to buy a Ferrari, but having the ability to maintain them is the real issue.

One day I'll own a Ferarri, but it won't be first in line. An Aston Martin DB9 gets that honor.

Of course, I don't care if it's the fastest or if it can be beat by a Civic.

Let him beat me, He's in a Civic and I'm in an Aston Martin. That's a fair trade.
 
If you do some research you will prob find that the 360 wasn't a reliable car. The 430 made big strides in the performance and reliability and thats why your seeing all the 360 guys go to the 430... No I don't own a Ferrari but I do know a lot about cars.

Get a Lamborghini because they are mostly Audi parts and they tend to be more reliable. You still can get that "Ive made it" feeling with a lambo!
