Any extra ways to rank a Google Docs file?

I made a few .PDF files using Google Docs - these will be used to hopefully rank one some of my keywords, using methods I've found around BHW.

Just wondering if there are more ways/anything else I can with this Google Docs file for it to show up on Google and/or provide some more backlinks to my website.
It's not spam or anything so I am confident with allowing this to be seen by people & have it link back to my website.

You can build tiered links to it for one.

Built some quality links to it or add a boost with some tier links for better results.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'll be building some links to the .PDF file I'll upload and I shouldn't have any problems with that.

Are you both saying I should build links to the actual Docs file? Would that work? I definitely can do it, but that sounds insane!
