Any experience with multi-level marketing?

Hi all. I had a meeting with a guy I met with a year ago who pretty much tried to sell me on it. I was thinking that it was possible to make money eventually off of it with hard work or in but I think to myself I'd rather go learn a skill online or something else and provide a real service rather than sell a dream. Not sure if I'm on the right mentality. Can anyone comment? Is it worth it when compared to seo, social media, botting etc.

If I were you I would learn skills online. That’s far better than playing the silly MLM game.

Im wondering about network marketing as well.
I just started a journey thread recently on that but dont have the intention to approach friends/family on that.
I treat it as a challenge to find out lol

The main question you should ask yourself is what you want.. as in the end result.
People join MLM because they want to..? >>> make money
People go to school, graduate and try to get a good job to..? >>> make money

If you are thinking of learning skill online to provide real service to.. make money?
then you will realize that there will always be some service or industry that is better out there, it will be like comparing apple to orange
because everything have pros and cons.

Unless it's something you are passionate in and you like what you want to do, otherwise, most of the time, the intention is still ultimately to.. make money..

depends on what you really want bro. To summarize,
If you are learning because you are passionate in something and happy doing it, GO FOR IT.
If you are looking just for the money, you can use money to make money, crypto is freaking hot right now and making tons of people stupid rich doing practically nothing

think about it, that's my 2 cents
 
When you start acquiring knowledge about marketing, you'll find out that MLM is not Get Rich Quick Scheme (selling a dream like u said) but it's a Get Rich Quick Scam !

Absolutely Not !
 
Many people will tell you, myself included, to stay away from MLM. It's a scammy industry.
There are some legit ones, but most are a waste of time...you'll be better off pursuing other things in making money online .
 
I'm glad you asked this question and my advise for you is stay away and don't fall for that shit. I wasted a good 2 years of my life in MLM and no matter how good I performed, the results are simply not worth pursuing. If I had known BHW at that time, I'd have started 1000+ MLM businesses on my own.
 
I'm thinking about starting my own MLM Biz!

Any pros and cons?

The biggest negative point is, that I kinda have high expenses per client, but I think, it would make sense, since I know 2-3 people really well in an MLM biz with each about 1-2k teammembers!!

They are each making about 10-50k a month and I know them really well and it would be possible to get some of the teammembers!

It would be a nice side-by-side business since both (mine and the other MLM biz) would support each other.

The better mine works for them, the better the other biz can work and the opposite way.

I will do it 90% but I am still concerned about the expenses per client and I do not know, how much % I should give up in total per client.

Any suggestions?

Stay away from MLM/NetWork Marketing would be my advice.
If you really decide to go through with it, then carry out full due diligence on the company you will work with.

I will not work together with a company!

I will start my own and then partner with my friends since they can join me (they want to use the service too) and then they will tell everybody to join my biz too on the side, while growing their actual MLM team.

Like this, they will be able to create two separate income streams that are independent of each other but still support each other.

If one goes up, the other one will too.

I still wouldn't go the MLM route, it would be better to start an Affiliate program that anybody can join.

Why do you think so?

Not trying to argue or discuss, I am just wondering, why!

I would get hell of a lot more people with MLM, but the only problem would be giving up some more % per client.

But I think, like this, my marketing would be fully automated (kinda) since the more people join, more people will refer.

With affiliate marketing I have noticed, that many people say, its great, but at the end do not make the effort to refer people since they think, it does not make much out of it.

If I have MLM, they would have their own little team and I think they would enjoy it way more to refer new people and get them into "their own" team.


What do you think?

Is your product an online or offline product?
If you sell it online then affiliate marketing is your best option.
If you only sell offline in a single territory then word of mouth network marketing might work but even then it would be better to pay people per sale.

Most people struggle to get sign ups in MLM, that is the truth and why most people fail.

I sell it online, but it is a service we provide.

Well people do want to buy my product and then on the side, they would be able to build their own little community!

I do not want to reveal my niche or my business but it would be way easier if I did.

I do understand both types of marketing and I also know the struggle you can have with MLM since I myself wanted to start, but then rather started my own business.

I have done affiliate marketing and I am experiencing MLM daily from my best friend (making 15k a month).

I agree with you, that MLM is bad in may cases, however I think in my case it would be good, since I basically partner up with 3 MLM teams that can all be transferred sice it is two different things.

Like selling and marketing
Or food and drinks

Both are dependent on each other and might work a bit without the other half, but at some point, you need both and that is my standpoint.

I am really unsure but I think, I will go the MLM route but I will read some more, ask more people an so on.
 
MLM is a scam, its a disguised Ponzi scheme.
Only less than 1% of the people that join make money (specially the owners of the scheme).
Search it on Google if you don't believe me.
Stay away from that!

It's easy to say, that MLM is a scam if you have never done it yourself and only believe google!

There are many things on google, you should not even look at, because it is so wrong!

It is true, that it might be hard at first with MLM to make money, but I think, if you have reached a certain level (I am not talking about already making 10k, more like 1k) you have already established something, that you can scale pretty good!

And you cannot say MLM is a scam!

You could say, a company that is doing MLM is a scam but not MLM in general.

Or would you say, that ecommerce is a scam?

I mean there are a lot of people scamming with ecommerce, but is ecom the scam or the company?

Just think deeply about what you read, see, hear, say and do!

Not everything on Google is right and not everything on Google is wrong, the same as companies.

I've seen many many people go from 0 to 10k easily with MLM.

It is a lot about the person! It is less about the company (that too) but it is a lot about the person.

If you do not seem authentic and trustworthy, it does not matter, how good the product is, nobody is gonna join.

If you did MLM and you failed, you can also not say, that only 1% makes money since you didn't.

In the past I have tried several MLM programs and although not scams they were a terrible way to make money.
Many MLM programs ARE scams, not all but most act as pyramid schemes.
You are entitled to do as you please but as somebody who has tried it, my advice is to stay away and not believe anybody who says they are banking from it.

I have read a lot about the subject and know people that suffered from this scams so I still think the same.
To each their own but I really don’t recommend it to anybody.

I do not believe many things, but I am just looking at the facts and numbers. I get you though
