Any experience with Hostgator VPS hosting? Or recommend a quality VPS web hosting?

I currently have web hosting with hostgator. My site has grown a ton and hostgator recommends I move to their vps. Does anyone have any experience with hostgator vps or can you recommend a very good one?

A place I used to work for was doing 10->25k uniques/day on their lowest VPS package. That was about 6 years ago though, no experience since.

I've heard nothing but great stuff from http://mediatemple.net but its definitelyh not cheap in comparison to other hosters. I always recommend checking out http://www.webhostingtalk.com though. You can normally get 1/6/12/24 month discounts on some great packages. Some even have double ram/space with those discounts.
