Any easy way to make money online as a programmer?

Not the most creative person so writing content or designing logos/websites are not for me. But after working in Web Hosting for many years (as tech support) I have strong skills at fixing website/coding issues and making various scripts.

Way back I tried out Freelancer and a bunch of other random sites -- but it seemed impossible to find clients as every project they posted would be overflowing with bids.

Would spend days and days bidding on everything with the cheapest possible bid and would never get accepted.

Any thoughts?

Maybe trying offering your skills on seoclerk/fiverr?

Make a website where you offer building websites, find low-medium competitive keywords and try to rank it.
Also you can try offering it locally.
Bug bounty hunting or look for bad looking websites, email them and offer them a medium priced service.

Just a few ideas. In the mean time keep bidding at those freelancing websites.

You can try to work for a helpdesk as a technical support

Do you have a Github profile to showcase your projects?
Also going for Developer Certifications will definitely give you an edge.
