Hi dropshippers!
I usually spend way too long staring at the screen, end up writing something basic like “Best gadget of 2025!” and wonder why nobody clicks. Do you guys have any tricks for coming up with fresh ad copy that actually works? Is there a formula, or do you just steal from competitors and tweak it?
thanks

A simple formula that helps me is: Hook → Benefit → Proof → CTA.
I also keep a swipe file of good ads not to copy, but to study angles and patterns. Then I test 2–3 quick variations instead of trying to perfect one ad. Short, clear, benefit-focused copy almost always performs better.

Use the P-A-S formula: Problem, Agitate, Solution. Or "steal" from competitors and Adapt, Improve, Swap (AIS method). Start hooks with "Finally," "Discover," or "Stop [pain point]".

Stop focusing on the features ('Best gadget'). Use the **PAS formula** (Problem - Agitate - Solution). Start with the pain point your customer has, agitate it a bit, and then present your product as the only solution. It converts much better than generic hype.

I brainstorm hooks from customer pain points, then swipe-file competitors’ winners and rewrite with a tighter benefit and stronger curiosity angle. Short, specific promises usually outperform generic hype.

A simple formula works best: grab attention, show the problem, highlight the benefit, and add a clear CTA. Check competitors for inspiration, but always rewrite with your own angle for stronger results.
