I build a couple sites a couple months ago for a company I am with and lately have been getting some traffic to both of them. Over the last 2 months I probably have gotten over 1000 hits. The thing is-NO SALES!! I thought I did a good job putting the site together and working on link building and gettting decent traffic, but 0000.00000 sales

Could I get some constructive critizim on my sites. Maybe how to make them convert better? These are my first 2 sites and I would like to see some kinda of success come out of them-even if its just a sale here and there-SOMETHING.

    Your comments would be appreciated!

the site they both link to (chews4health.com) isn't optimized for conversions at all.
it doesn't matter how good your own sites are if the main company's site is dropping the ball.

im sorry mate. your website is ugly. too many outbound links too.

even if i really want to buy, i dont see any buy button that screams my name.

consumers have the attention span of a goldfish, use it!

your sales page and your pre-sale page should be different.

and because I lost my interest after seeing the table-cloth-esque type background, I didn't even bother with your website.

    check your demographics first.

    traffic's easy. targeted traffic isnt.

go search for relevant threads in bhw. there's tons of gold nuggest everywhere.

1st of all, I disagree strongly with mcgraw on your sites being ugly. IMO They look nice, professional, and clean. The reality is, ugly sites make money all the time and you site looks a hell of a lot better than most of the sites I see making money.

The thing about both your sites is, they are overly complicated. They look nice enough, but there's nowhere to quickly and easily buy the product your selling. Also there's too much information on the main page and as a visitor I don't know exactly what your selling. You immediately start educating people on all this stuff and you really aren't clear on what you have to offer. Also that opening video is too long, it's going to be hard to grab someones attention for 4 minutes. Like mcgraw said, consumers have the attention span of a goldfish and you got like 15-30seconds to grab their attention or you will lose them. You need to put a bigass order button on that home page and state exactly what you are selling in a few large words right in front of the viewer (where that video currently is). Then right under that basic description of your product start a few bullets with the benefits of why they want to buy your product. THEN under that, you can put that embedded video if you want to, but let the viewer click on it to play and don't have it start up automatically like that. Also, if at all possible try to host that video some other way besides youtube, because it causes people to leave your site and get sidetracked on typical youtube crap. Personally, I wouldn't even use that video.

Again, as soon as a viewer loads your page, you want them to see a big clear picture of your product, a brief description of your product in bold font, a big order button, and the beginning of your bullets. The way you currently have your site setup works for a niche like "how to make money online" not "buy vitamins"

*On chews4healthsite, remove the calendar and search boxes, they are useless.
*On chewablevitamin, remove the calendar and Archives, they are useless and the archives takes the customer to a blank page!
*On chewablevitamin, the order now page has a broken picture that just shows black.
*On chewablevitamin, on the order page, don't say "Order Chews4Health-The Natural Chewable Vitamins Click One Of The Banners!!" because that doesn't sound right, just make a link that says order here and send the customer to the supplier.
*On chewablevitamin, your 100% guarantee graphic says "100% reader grantee", remove the reader part, or get another 100% guarantee picture, you can google one in a jiffy. Also, you need to bring that closer to the top, people are going to be more interested in that, then seeing all your ingredients.
*Instead of all that math talk about the price of your product, just put a big picture that shows the price, with a higher price crossed above it.
*On chewablevitamin, you need to clean up that text, you have a lot of spaces and break returns that shouldn't be there. Type everything neatly in notepad and then cut/paste it to your site.

and lastly, and this is a big one. PLEASE rewrite all the text on your site instead of cut/pasting what the manufacture gave you and a hundred other affiliates. You could do much better in google if all your text wasn't already spammed through google word for word by other sellers of the same product. I can take any line on your site and google it, and all the other lazy resellers have used the same text word for word. Be a professional and rewrite it all in your own words, it's worth a couple hours of your time to make some money. Also, pay attention to your sites stats, and look at how people are staying on your sites, and pages they are going to (if any), and which pages they are leaving on (that's MAJOR clue as to why you have no sales).

Also, just so you know 1000 hits over 2 months is like 16 hits a day... (and I am hoping you meant uniques and not just hits since 1 man can cause 16 hits) That's not nearly good enough to expect sales. You need like 200 unique visitors a day minimum to expect sales, and even that's a stretch. You better start marketing your sites and getting some targeted traffic. 16 hits a day is ridiculous

The stretched pics and banners in low quality do nothing to add legitimacy to the site. Overall it looks very amateur and does not make me as a consumer, respect your product enough to buy online from your website. I would feel more comfortable going to the store down the street to buy vitamins, even if they actually were inferior. Definitly just need to work on the crispness of the site.

use crisp images like many others said, be more specific about your product you offer, at the top of the page in a few simple and visible words. remove the autoplay from the video, use a simpler and clean buy now button

pics on right re just pale but the the theme in general is good, after fixing these pics and the main banner you should market your site in Y! answers : ask questions about your nich and answer them with link to your site, give it time and you will start to see some conversions.

try to make various offers not just one and make them relevant.

some of the pics are very grainy and seem stretched and the 'Click here Now' outbound links are way too laid on. And personally i don't like embedded youtube videos.

I have seen way worse than this. How are you promoting these sites?

Thank you for all of your replies-sounds like I have a lot of work to do. On my screen the images on the right dont look stretch out-to me anyways but if you guys say it-then the traffic probably reads it that way to.

All my traffic has been unique and your right its not a lot, but I really dont have a lot of pages on each of them. I was kinda testin it out for 2 months and building links. I do a lot of bookmarking, vids, Ive used the big gigantic forum list to create back links with. Other than that Im not sure what to do. I have a lot of plugins-so it pings about 50 engines every time I post.

I mean Im decently happy with the traffic I have gotten with the limited amount of pages and it is my and I know I need to shoot for more. I will put the vids down towards the bottom(no autoplay) and write more descriptive original stuff. Perfectcell was right-most of my stuff is copy and pasted-I so hate typing on the computer, I like the mouse-but I guess that needs to change. My traffic is targeted(besides the spammers).

And I do agree that the corporate page is a horrible site for sending people to. I was just thinking about going to my aff link-hitting the buy button and quickly grabbing that link. What do you guys think? Just pretty much bypass the main site completely. You should have seen the corporate site before this one(stunkkkkkkkkk assssss) I dont think my site is ugly-maybe I just need to clean it up a bit. It took me forever to figure out how to manipulate the theme.

I will take the suggestions to heart and apply them. Thanks for all your comments- if ya have anymore dont be shy!
