Any clear rules for the website link?

Can't find a rule about the website link that you can add next to your profile
long time ago someone removed mine and said "selling outside the ..."
that's strange since that's the rule of that link like the sig also
so is there any more clear rule for it

i was told few years back the website link space
is used by VIPS for services

BUT - unless the rule changed

new members can put there links there as well
as long they dont try to push that link in posts like
hears my product hears a link to it

I'm going to leave this open, but state the rule as I have come to understand it. Although, @proxygo is correct.

The space is used for advertising your services as a Jr. VIP or a link you want to represent on the forum.
If you inflate your post count with spammy posts to show off your fancy website link, you'll will receive an infraction.

Alternatively, you may also not sell said website link location as link space in a similar way to your signature space.

If I'm missing a bullet point here, feel free to correct me as I'm always open to learning. (a note for the staff/anyone with familiarity).

I've so far only seen a few affiliate links, but majority of them were redirecting to their own sales thread or their own website. I didn't know a regular user can add a link to their website too.

To add to this:

Affiliate links cannot be used as a homepage link (rule 4) as they're only allowed in specific areas of the forum.
Only Jr. VIPs can link to paid services using their homepage link.
Free members can link to anything that does not violate our rules, such as the ones on selling and advertising
