Yes, Google rolled out a new algorithm change on October 14th. People are speculating that it is another part of Panda but that it is more catastrophic like the 'Florida' update of 2003.

Matt Cutts tweeted about it a week or so ago. And people were speculating on it for a while.
So, it definitely happened lol. We just need to put our heads together to figure out how to get around it. Keep your eyes open.

Yes, I got huge boosts in all my rankings for all my keywords and have started ranking for some stupidly competitive words even though I'm not targeting them :\

Just did a check for todays rankings. Now ranking #1 for 3 keywords for a fairly newish site. I think I'm liking this update Google did haha.
