Any chance this blog will help with my traffic?

I created a WP blog to point towards my online store. The topic is something that is commonly searched by people on WP (diet and nutrition) and I'm hoping that people will come for the tips and recipes and then link to my store to buy the shake mix. It's a great product but hard to get people to the crappy replicated sites. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
