I joined this forum a couple years ago when i was really into internet marketing and stuff like that, it's really not my scene anymore, but I do make a lot of music.. I just released an EP today and was wondering if you guys knew any blackhat music promotion tricks? I submit my music to blogs, post on forums, and use twitter to promote it really, I was hoping you guys had some more tips since you guys know all about promoting stuff and things to that nature...

Soundcloud (if you have one): Add tracks to niche/genre specific group to gain targetted followers/plays/comments etc.
(Black hat to inflate follows/plays/comments etc - will help with herding effect of gaining organic follows/plays/comments)

Facebook page + FB ads: I've heard they're expensive but can be super targeted in terms of who the ads will appear for
(Black hat to inflate likes, shares, social signals - again herding effect to gain organic likes etc.)

Depending on whether your project requires SEO, there are other things you can use. For example, I'm in the process of running 2 music projects. 1 to sell beats, the other is my proper artist project, so only the beat selling one is going to need SEO.

why are you not on youtube?... Thats where you will get the most exposure

arrange for some "real girl profiles" on fb to drum up a buzz.

Or do each other a favour. I'll be your " real girl " if you like my page back! haha

Youtube and then rank your songs for keywords. Maybe attempt to make music based around a specific keyword .
