Any bitcoin skeptics here?

naah I don't think BTC can go so easily is not like a random coin, and is being there for how long now? is in the eye of everyone, I don't think that is a coin that will die and people will forget.

you will become a crypto skeptic after you lose a large amount of money, but my overall view of crypto is still positive

While I’m not entirely a skeptic, I do think it’s important to critically assess Bitcoin’s challenges, like its scalability issues, regulatory uncertainty, and market volatility. That said, it’s hard to ignore the progress it’s made in adoption and as a store of value. Healthy skepticism can lead to better decisions, so I’m curious to hear what concerns others have or why they might be skeptical

I wouldn't be surprised if I am the only one. I recently sold all my bitcoin and made a pretty sum. I originally told myself that regardless of how high it goes I will not regret selling it. (easier said than done, I reget it already). One motivation behind my decision was the fear that liquidity would dry up and the exchanges would become unusable. I still think this is a real possibility. I was influenced by an article I read called "The bitcoin black paper" by Nassim Taleb which makes the point that over 10 years since it's introduction, no once actually prices anything in bitcoin, therefore it isn't a realistic currency. (You can pay in bitcoin but nothing is actually priced in bitcoin). The aforementioned paper also lays out how large amounts of infrastructure must be dedicated to bitcoin, specifically mining and exchanges. If something was to interupt these, the price can drop to zero. I noticed myself that bitcoin price follows other financial markets and is primarily driven by fresh money being pumped into the system.

Any other skeptics out there?
Pricing stuff in bitcoin at this early stage isnt viable because of the fluctuations, at time passes and more adoption progresses you’ll see price become more stable and perhaps people might consider pricing goods & services in BTC/SATs.

You need to keep in mind that the whole crypto ecosystem is still pretty bare bones. Personally I think BTC has a very Brigitte future, especially now - since countries, banks & institutions are actively accumilating.

Listen to @SimonDixonTwitt on Twitter Spaces and on his youtube and he will change your mind real fast. I would put $ on it. Only asset that i a hedge against the bank ponzi and inflation scam.

Skeptics are growing outside the information field. Look at how many old wallets sold their BTC in 2024, which they had been holding since 2010–2012...
