Hello everyone,
I'm working on expanding my website to target multiple regions. My main challenge is that the French homepage currently ranks well for several keywords, but I need to change it to English. I'm unsure how to approach this without simply translating everything and having both French and English content on the same homepage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What CMS is your website made of? Is it made of wordpress?

You can check out this plugin: https://translatepress.com/ They are the plugin that I have used for many of my clients. It has everything you need here. They translate everything into the new language and have auto-translate based on google or deepl
Alright , thank you i'll be checking that

No problem, if you have any questions, you can ask me. I am a wordpress developer.

Do not use mixed languages content for the same page/homepage, that's terrible SEO/UX wise,
Use some translation plugin to get the work done as @anh2phat pointed out, I would vouch for WPML, but translatepress should do the work as well,
Make sure to do keyword research separately for each of the languages, don't just translate blindly,
You can translate other pages as well as long as the equivalent English keywords have good search volumes,
And you can target totally different English keywords with English-only pages if they don't have a good search volume in French

Yeah this was my concern cuz i don't really wanna lose the homepage's progress , i 'll keep in mind the plugins i'm sure im gonna need em later
Another thing you can do is implement hreflang tags to let Google know which version of the page to show based on the user’s language or location. This way, Google will always know the right version to index, and you won’t lose any rankings for the French version.
Oh yeah, this seems like what I wanted to do at first I just didn’t know that the tag also shows people based on their location and language

Thank you very much
