Another website is pointing A record to my website

My first post here. I had a huge problem and ill try to explain the best i can and i 'm sorry if i posted in wrong forum... Plastic explanation: I have a website on dedicated server. Someone pointed A record to my website but somehow, though it's shared IP address they displayed my website with they domain name...

Or Like this. I have a website on shared IP on dedicated server called xxx.com and someone pointed A record and they had my website under they domain name like yyy.com and you could browse my website under they domain name like yyy.com/some-page. Since it's and old domain name, registered like 15y ago, google simple started un-indexing my website.... So, can someone explain to me, how they did that?? Because i m completely confused... They ruined me with that since i had almost whole first page and over the 1000 pages indexed...

Someone while installing SSL, forgot to assign unique IP address from what i understand from support i had...

Can you help me out and unravel this mystery to me...?? How this could happen? That website is now on first page in like a few days. And i reassigned another IP to my website. Thank you!!

probably he was the old owner of your server/IP...
you should block his website on apache (the easy way to do this is to add his domain on your apache and use a custom foldem with a blank index.php so that his domain will show a blank page and not your website) or wait that his domain to expire

Unfortunately i had to change IP and wait for propagation... I can't post domain name in question, who took mine.. down... My domain is also like almost 10y old, but this one is from 2000... I just don't understand how this could happen. I have a dedicated server so he must have unique IP, so how, someone, from another domain registar, on another server can have same IP as me? That's what confuses me... Thank you!

Should have spammed that sucker with GSA SER, backlink to your site when you move it to new hosting. Free PBN with someone elses domain

Thank you all for your answers! This is completely new to me. Now i have another website that google is un-indexing and i m now not sure if someone targeted my server or some google changes are being done... Thank you guys!

Have you contacted your web host? A lot of times they can help figure out what is going on and help correct it.

Yes. I have fully managed server and it's first thing i do. But in this case they weren't able to provide any useful answer. I think issues started around when i installed few SSL certificates for some websites after google started to inform people that sites aren't secure... i 'm completely puzzled... I know i m not providing any useful information to you to so thank you for helping me! I really appreciate it!

Not sure who you are hosting with but if you have a full managed server they should be able to figure it out and help you with this.

You were right, but unfortunately my support weren't able to solve this problem. Then, form pure desperation i started disabling extensions we had on server and at the end i found that Nginx was causing all those problem with google and not allowing google to index all sites... That still doesn't explain though, how that website had my IP that suppose to be unique... Thank you or for help! I will find some time to find out why Nginx wasn't set up right...
