Another way to get more .GOV/.EDU backlinks

A question to OP.Have you yourself tried for it ion your SEO process and if the answer comes in affirmative then please give a brief account on your success rate and about the stability of the links etc etc, which will be very much helpful.

good method OP.
here's my idea:
instead of buying these domains, harvest their backlinks and post your new links on the same pages.
That is exactly what I do, hardhat. Just harvest.

I very rarely buy those domains, they are very expensive I think, except when they have a strong, special characteristic, which could be also found right there.
;)

Yes.
They are very good to an extent since they are not the only method to be used. However, as most of my sites are somehow related to education, they suit quite well.
Stability depends mostly on the quality of the comments on each backlink. My comments are always well though, related, manually done, making it stick over 3/4 of them.

Regardless if it works for SEO this is an interesting site to get some good domain names.

I launched a Start-Up last year and the hardest part of the whole process was coming up with a good domain name that wasn't taken =p

A good name is even better when it gets a strong "backing". And that is what expiring domaisn provide us. Just look for the best indicators and you are in a good track to succs with your start up.

Looks like a great method!
Thanks
Thanks for the Thanks' guys.

But just remember that nothing says thanks better than a Thanks "button".

;)

Nice lil tip.

Won't last long due to Yahoo site explorer closing though

While it does't close shop, buid a bot, get as many links as you can, and use it forr the network of your sites now and after the closure.
;)

great but most of the domain are porlly already expired so there no use, much easier to harvest in sb

All of them have the latest comment on 2004-2005, and comments are closed or script fked up.
