Welp its been a long run..

RIP isohunt.com

Mpaa got them too just like Mininova

The MPAA has ALOT of polictical musle, AND deeper pockets then the RIAA!

With that said, once you get the MPAA on your ass, its pretty much OVER!!

They are trying to avoid the same event that happened to the music industry.

So I'm not surprised, it was only a matter of time!

Granted, they won't get all of the torrent sites out there, but to them they don't need to. They are going after the big guns to protect there profit margins.

Looks like the torrent game will soon be going back underground!

The site is still up and running guys.......... for now

Are they good for IM like for ppi and spamming ebooks? i have never used them myself.

move the servers and domain in CN / RU and then lets see what the stupid western governments do then?

After Mininova died, I started using ISOhut, if what you say is true I'm f**ken pissed off :(

dude the pirate bay is even still around and also being uploaded too, and ive even seen torrents on mininova and iso hunt recently.

so WTF?

Just go private. Less chance of being caught and higher speeds :)

Yea me to :(... isohunt is pretty much where i get most of my shit from full discographies to movies. I just checked it out, it seems like American users (which i am) are being directed to a so-called light version that list links to other sites like a search engine does. Just tried a proxy from Europe and its coming up normally. Guess the judge at the courtcase (Judge Wilson) had a bug up his ass the day of the case...:asshole:

Yeah mininova and isohunt are still up and running up you can't get any of the stuff you used to get before. Mininova just has freeware and user generated content and I assume isohunt is headed that way as well. Private torrents sites is where I have been ever since suprnova went down, best way to go.

Just my thoughts.

Kind Regards,
killxp

Private torrents sites is where I have been ever since suprnova went down, best way to go.
Private torrent sites are always better for downloading, as they don't allow uploading harmful files for your computer stuffed with viruses, spywares, malwares and there are higher download speeds...so i don't care much about these open trackers until the private ones working well and if they go down as well, im goin back - where i came from - to private ftp

Still works fine for me, though I'm not a US resident.

yep isohunt still works for me. No one here use newsgroups?

Isohunt is actually only a torrent search engine, unlike Piratebay and Mininova who (used to) actually offer torrent trackers.

Isohunt is just about as illegal as Google is, and for now it isn't even down yet.

I Love isohunt and It has been great for me so far. Now this is disappointing.

Isohunt now re-directs you to their new 'lite' version, though they still will kick back results. From their April 5th announcement:

"April 5, 2010 - US users, welcome to the lighter and lightning fast isoHunt! Although we bring this new search engine to you with a burden from the lawsuit brought by the MPAA, we hope you understand the reason why we are making this change. It is to address concerns Judge Wilson has over inducing copyright infringement in the US. Though inducement is never our intention and we have evidence to support it, with isoHunt Lite we want to affirm publicly that isoHunt's function is nothing more than a search engine with all the net neutrality it affords and should be afforded.

Despite rumors that we are ordered to keyword filter for US, there's only a proposed order, no actual order. Freedom of speech, non-infringing use and technical implementability issues are still being debated in further court briefs. We have not done any keyword filtering and is fighting all we can not to, because we believe search terms are ambiguous by nature, and any requirement to keyword filter is a violation of freedom of speech and amounts to no less than censorship..."

isohunt still works for me.. just checked it...

'Isohunt is no longer a real torrent site.

They have keyword filtering. They were ordered to remove all infringing items on there site..

So yes they are still up like mininova, but there are really no torrents on there site anymore except crap.

isohunt was the first torrent site i ever used... it used to be really good to me back in the day...
