I am 17 years old.
I am from a bad neighborhood in a third world country.
Due to our poor living condition,
my father turn from a honest, likeable man to a numb, child-beating, crippling alcohol addict.
He gets drunk every day and would beats up me and my sister every time he comes home.
I don't really blame him. (if you see the living and working condition here you won't)
The fact that I am going to college next year don't help either.
All the pressure is crushing the shoulder of that old man and tearing him apart.
(Did I mentioned that my father marry very late and is now having two young kids when he is about to retire)
I start doing IM in hope that I can support my family.
I gather up all of my money from my childhood.
(In holiday people give children money to wish them good luck - That is our tradition)

Like a blind idiot, I purchased a push-button get rich quick program in hope that I can help feed my family.
I never worked. But at that time I was too convinced and too blinded to believe that.
Three month later, when all the hype is gone, I wake up.
Now I have $47 less than when I started.

Furthermore, if I can't get into college this years,
I will get drafted (forced sign up to the military - It is a way for the government to control unemployment).
Sometimes I wish that I can just die.
But then I think of my 7 years old sister and my mother?
Who is going to pay for her going to college?
Who is going to pay for our house when my father retired?
Who is going to stop my father from beating his wife and his daughter?
I can't die, I must live.
So I suck it up and give going.
I am working to get money
to pay for college,
to support my family and
to raise my little sister so she don't have to live the life I lived.
Sometimes you just have to get up and keep going even if life push you down.
That is my story.
