another reddit sneaky tracking revealed

After years of my email marketing experience i am pretty sure that is not how atleast gmail can be tracked based on IP location. Gmail will send a gmail proxy for image collection. Or it will be loaded on googleapis. Can't say about others.
gmail is shit

even if they do not proxify the image there is no way to track since there is no unique id associated with the url, how will they know or track there is no way...

the url is not unique so this url receive thousands of requests per second, there is no way to track the ip address unless reddit with sent a unique parameter with each image,

so its proxified there is no way for reddit to track this...

that depends on client you use, gmail proxifies it, not every email client proxifies this. or if you use gmail on some non web client it also not proxified

You're absolutely right—and that’s a critical tip for anyone using multiple Reddit accounts or managing them through an anti-detect setup.

That’s a sneaky move by them lol, really smart catch. I wouldn’t have thought about image links being used that way by them.
