So I need to confirm my address to use the Paypal plugin, and to confirm my address I must enter my credit card details.

I tried using a VCC, and it didn't work.

    Now, I don't have a credit card (i'm only 15).

My last option is to simply use my mom's credit card (don't laugh).

Now my question is, if I use her credit card to confirm my address, can I remove the credit card from my Paypal, and my address will still be confirmed?

    Okay I have another question.
Is there any other way I can use the paypal plugin?

For step 2, it requires me to confirm my address by inputting a credit card. Paypal then checks the billing address on the credit card and compares it to my mailing address.

My Paypal is already verified by bank, and its address is already confirmed; so i find this quite ridiculous.
    Anything?

    EDIT:
okay wtf. I purchased a VCC from chiky, and it works and it says my address is confirmed. WHen I wanna use the paypal plugin, it asks for a confirmed address(WTF?)
I use VCC details and my address, still no worky.

@Goob3r, a pre-paid CC might work, although PayPal is requesting a CC for proof of address, and since a pre-paid CC isn't traceable by any matter, I personally dont think it would work. But it's worth a try.

Well you guys seem like quite the knowledge folks.

    Well here's the deal.
My parents have credit cards, and like a normal blackhatter, I have no morals. No, I won't be draining the funds from their CCs, but I NEED them to verify my address. So when they go off to bed, I will be sneaking into my mother's purse and I will use it to verify my Paypal. I am a man of some morals, so I won't be doing anything more than that.

I tried using a VCC, and it did work when I added it to my Paypal account. But it did NOT work when I tried using it to confirm my address for the Paypal plugin. Why? VCCs are completely anonymous; they come with no address. What I think paypal does is they compare the billing address on the actual credit card with your mailing address. If they match, it's a green light. And by God, the only roadblock in my method is getting the paypal plugin to work.

    @g00ber
I won't be using a pre-paid card because I think it's much more likely the my parent's credit card will work..

    QUESTIONS:

    1. When I use my parent's credit card to confirm my address, does paypal check the names? The only difference is in the names, but the billing and mailing address match. I guess the only way to find out if this works is by trying it.

    2. Does Paypal keep any records of the credit card I entered? By all means, I do not want my parent's credit card on my Paypal account, so I will remove it after using it to confirm my address. Any how, I shouldn't have any problems with paypal because I'm not doing anything shady in the first place.

    3. I'm sure many of you have used the Paypal plugin. When you have to do step 2 (confirm your address and enter credit card) does Paypal send an expuse code to the credit card?

You will probably need to verify it. Which means it being charged a few dollars and then you getting the code of the bill. So Im guessing that if your sneaking to do it, you won't want your parents to find out. They will be able to see it on their CC bill.

    Hmm.
I'm gonna have to e-mail Paypal support on this one.
When I bought the VCC to add to my Paypal account, the seller received the 4-digit expuse code and he sent it to me. Then I hooked up the VCC to my Paypal, but for some bloody reason I CANNOT use that same VCC to confirm my address for the paypal plugin. This is such a headache.

Btw my account is already verified by bank. Its address is confirmed from the VCC, but I just can't use that VCC for the paypal plugin.
What I might do is ask my parents to use their credit card to confirm the address. I'll explain that I want to purchase some magic tricks from a website that only accepts credit card and no paypal, so I need to use the paypal plugin.

But I don't know if I wil need the 4-digit expuse code on this one, because all Paypal wants/needs is for me to confirm my address, not add the credit card to my account.

    Ugh.

    Any other inputs?

    EDIT:
Okay this is fucking ridiculous. I checked up on Paypal's "Add Credit Card or Debit Card" feature, and when you add a credit card to your Paypal account, it "confirms your billing address, this process may take 30 seconds." I used a VCC from a guy off BHW. It worked, it confirmed my billing address, but I just cannot use it for the Paypal plugin. When I try submitting my address and credit card for the paypal plugin, it comes up with a page that says "This action could not be completed"

Nvm I think I got it all solved.

The reason why the VCC worked for getting it added to Paypal is because the VCC has no address, so Paypal would accept ANY billing address on it.

However, when i want to use the paypal plugin, it requires a mailing address and a credit card. What Paypal then does is check and compare the mailing address to the billing address of the credit card (in this case I used a VCC). Because VCCs have no address assigned to them, the mailng address does not equal the billing address, and it wouldn't go through. That's why I need a credit card with a billing address.

So I can use my parent's credit card or a pre-paid credit card with an billing address assigned to it.

However, I'm not so sure if my parent's credit card would work because we have different first names.

    EDIT:

    i'm fucked royally.

When I try to add a new credit card for the Paypal plugin, it requires for it to be confirmed, and you need an expuse number.

If I use a pre-paid credit card, there is no billing statement to retrieve the expuse code.
If I use a VCC, it has no billing address attached to confirm it.
I need a real credit card.

Why not just ask your parents if you could use theirs? (That's what I did, and it all worked out fine.)

    I will try that...

Problem is, it's gonna be a longgggg process.

Such as waiting for the expuse code in the billing statement.

I am working up a very convincing story, and I will ONLY spew it out when my parents are in a good mood.

My parents are not in a good mood because they payed $2000 in car repair fees.

I have a question for you BalingDazzer..

Did your parent's credit card really work just like that?
When I used the VCC to add to my Paypal account, everything worked out okay. But When I tried using it to confirm my address for the Paypal plugin, the VCC has no billing address attached, so it didn't accept it.

My parent's credit card has the same billing address as my mailing address, the ONLY difference is in the first name.

I THINK it will work because Paypal compares addresses, not names. And my parents and I have the same last name.

By God I hope I get this problem fixed by AT LEAST the end of the month.

I know that when I buy prepaid credit cards. I can check the balance and transactions online. So that when I hook it up to Paypal it gets charged the $2 straight away and I can get the code straight away online.

Simon's gift cards work for this and you can buy them online. Just buy the gift account, assign your address to it and you'll get a regular Visa card number.

No you do not have to send some bill or bank statement.

You only add your credit card, and they check to see if the billing address on your credit card matches your mailing address; and then your address is confirmed.

Sending them a billing statement of some sort is only an alternative.

    Okay.

If I confirm my address with a credit card, can I remove the credit card from my account, and my address will still be confirmed?

I would like to think so... dunno.

gbmack, ya, I used my Dad's credit card and it worked out fine. Depending on where you live, adding a bank account is all you need to get your account verified. (Canada and the U.S are one of those countries.)
