So Paypal decided to close my account after 5 years . Here you go !
It started yesterday when I tried to pay someone , I usually ask freelancers to do the work and pay them after they're done, the payment is done using F&F sending type (70% of the times), Yesterday Paypal decided to limit the account and ask for further information (ID, address and the rest of their bullshit).
I uploaded quickly everything they asked for (real information and details) and got to sleep. Today I woke up and wanted to follow up with them over phone. 5 minutes Right after I ended the call, I recieved an email saying the the appeal is rejected and the account will be closed. Spoiler alert : $7500 blocked for 180 days (Hurray !)
Before some of you keyboard warriors start to jump in, I'm not selling any prohibited items, The details are real, and in the last 200 transactions only had 1 refund (which I won, because the buyer canceld it) So yeah , I concider myself quite a nice boy when it comes to paypal.
I'm not looking for a solution since I know for a fact that this decision is final (I got to talk with an executive over the phone) or an alternative (I have a merchant account), this is for the ones that are using Paypal as their only payment processor. As you can see here, my activity was always stable and correct using their platform but still, "too much risk" , TMR my @ss when you know you didn't do anything,
So guys, don't put all your money in the same place, try to find alternatives since Paypal will let you down , (but Yuuzo, I've been workin with them since ages and nothing happens) , Yeah maybe, but so did I, and it happend finally.
I do believe Paypal is on the verge of going down, many marketers and freelancers are relying on it (yet getting dissapointed)and it's just a matter of time.
