Google has confirmed that the latest iteration of its Panda algorithm update is live. Based on our tracking of the algorithm changes, this is Panda Update 2.5.

Panda Update 1.0: Feb. 24, 2011
Panda Update 2.0: April 11, 2011
Panda Update 2.1: May 10, 2011
Panda Update 2.2: June 16, 2011
Panda Update 2.3: July 23, 2011
Panda Update 2.4: August 12, 2011
Panda Update 2.5: September 28, 2011

?After being hit in February, and fully documenting every change we?ve made, we eventually made a more than complete recovery. We went from averaging 280-290K pageviews (every so often hitting 300K) pre-Panda, to consistently being at 370K post-Panda.?
?However, we were hit again on Wednesday, September 28th, once again losing more than half of our traffic,? she added. ?I think this might even be a bigger hit than last time. I am still investigating whether or not this was another iteration of Panda that just went out or something different.?
Dani says there is ?definite confirmation that we lost all our Google traffic overnight.?

Have you suffered any changes?

I am hit this time... last few updates have not affected me by not more than 5%...

This time my traffic lost more than 50%

Yes, I can confirm. Logs show one of my sites went from roughly 4k visits/day from G to <800 visits/day on Sept 28 or 29. This particular site is about 4 yrs old and has been extremely stable up until now.

Woah!
That's quite a loss!
Hope you get back up soon, mate.

I have several websites, and most of them are purnished by october 1. So sad.

And one website is penalty -30, I want to recover it.

Allround i haven't lost anyting due to the update.
My main adsense sites & customers sites has only been moving up the SE's.
However some of the keywords have dropped a few positions (6 max)(i target around 20 keywords per site)

One of my websites was panda raped on April... 70% down :(

1.10 4 / ~50 sites went down 80% on traffic. Now need to see if it was just a temporary down spike. If some suffer, then other parties must gain from these shifts, I wonder how much these gainers are old stable sites, that doesn't really do anything to their site...

I got slapped quite badly on a new site, but other sites I haven't touched in years have shot up. Bit of a weird one this time.

why so many updates? why can't they get it right in one update?

i can confirm this update aswell...lost like 60% of my trafic because of this last update....

the previous ones actually helped me but this one has got me working hard and still no effects :(

It helps keep their monopoly. More updates means more time spent on Google instead of other search engines.

#1 reason though... Adwords.

These updates are hurting a lot of companies, which in turn will start using Adwords to drive lost traffic.

So far none of our sites have have a drop, most have slowly seen an increase in traffic. A lot of sites have been hurt by panda but so far I haven't read any solid information on how to combat it. There are so many conflicting stories and theories and BS! Has anyone here recovered from being hit?

Thankfully I haven't noticed a hit to any of my sites, but all the content on my site is unique and decent quality and I have a good diversity of backlinks

One thing to take note of is that every time Google updates, rankings will be shifting all over the place due to them re-ranking their current index of sites.

If your sites are affected negatively initially, continue to monitor them to see if you are just being shifted around due to Google's update, or if you have actually been permanently downgraded in their rankings.

In the case of the latter, look over your sites and try to identify why they have lost rankings and make the changes that are necessary.
