Its obvious that something was rolled out again in the past 8hrs. All the sites in my niche have changed positions with sites showing up on page 1, sites that have never been anywhere near page 1 before. My site is completely gone but not deindexed from page 1,2 for multiple keywords.

All i can say is F Google.

Have you checked your site positions lately?

Same issue here... I'm over google.

I am soo done with Google too. I had some sites making me money and now they are no where to be found. Plus I had a few sites that started making a few hundred with Adsense - they closed my account. A bunch of BS!!!

Changed over to Bing

Just change your strategy up guys and don't forget to push new unique content. Also, be sure to cloak your affiliate links from search engines.

It's having a shift about, they do this from time to time

Just keep chipping away

One site on a very competitive niche (99% according to G-KW tool) has lost 3 positions which is really difficult to get back into serp

Google count your links, they index whatever they are told to indexed(within reason) this helps your SEO and then once in a while they have a good clear out and this takes your links with it, maybe it clears out your site in the mean time!

This is Google telling you that your site is crap, like it or lump it!

Don't spam the shit out of your site, think about what your doing and don't just load up AMR, SB, XR and go mental and wonder why "Google slapped me"

Take time with onpage, take some time with off page, speak to other seo's or IMers and share ideas!

I guess all we can do is wait and see what happens. I say give it a week to see if your sites come back up. If they don't, then I wouldn't bother wasting your time with them anymore.

You create poop, and you'll get treated like poop.
Stop doing garbage links to your site and producing garbage content.
There is no quick fix in the SEO world. Sure something might work today, but what's the point in wasting your time on it if it doesn't work tomorrow.

But a lot of these guys do have handsome looking sites, with unique content, natural looking link progression, and intelligently used the bots---and got slapped anyway. That's why the epithets are flying against G, and people would like to slap them back. G doesn't like high-ranking smaller sites that link to products, period. It indian gives by offering rules for making "good user experience" sites, then Panda dances whenever marketers master the latest version of them. G puts its foot down demanding non-spammy sites, but when non-spammy affiliate sites are created, it keeps dropping its other foot down on them, too.

That would be great if that's really what happen, I have a quality site with quality links that have users stay on it for a long time and share with others. This site just got hit so your theory is wrong. I don't spam this site with crap links although I do have a site that is a crap auto blog with crap links that sitting at #1 right now, so get off your high horse. I'm sure it's just an update that will sort itself out but people that blame it all on the webmaster obviously haven't been reading about all the quality sites getting hit. Yes there are a lot of crap sites that deserve to be bumped to nowhere, like my one crap site but not all sites getting hit are shallow sites. Stop generalizing because that just makes you look dumb.

I get what you're saying, I work for as head SEO for a large insurance firm within the UK and they got slapped - from 300+ pages down to 176 pages

I simply upped the content, I put nofollow tags on affiliate/business links

I redesigned the home page, added a news/blog section

Then I carried on with off page SEO, I spoke to other SEO's (mainly BassTrackerBoats ) I used his LP service what gave a nudge to the keywords

I was down for a little while but I didnt give up, I wont ever give up!

If you're site is one of the "good sites" then ride it out and work out what could have gone wrong, if you have shit pages then get rid of them and 301 them to the good pages(if you have to)

Don't just give in!

Read my post above and drop the keyboard warrior act please!

You ask for opinions and you will get opinions, like it or lump it but the people who pay me to maintain a million pound turnover website surely do value my opinion, I'm also a guy who speaks to other SEO's about tricks blah blah blah - The firm I work for claimed they had a great site, I think its a great site but it wasn't quite good enough so I took action!

YOu might be a good guy with a great site but you will recover if you have a good site, just carry on doing what you're doing!

I had BassTrackerBoats telling me that the company I work for is pretty crap on content, I took that opinion and used the info from other sources and took action - Don't get pissed with people when you ask for opinions!

Fair enough, no keyboard warrioring going on hah, I just get annoyed when people generalize about things that deserve a deeper look. But you do have good points and it's a good reason to make my website an even higher quality website.

Panda didn't hurt me as much but with one keyword it did. moved from page 1 to page 2. Will fight my way back of course :D

the funny thing is it hurt my best content page not my adsense pages...

If you want then shoot me a PM, I would be happy to give my views on your site via PM -

We got hit by the panda, I was checking SERPs to the point of crazed obsession and really doubted my own SEO skills but I took the panda by the testys and played my own version of ping pong......it took a while but winning!

Shame I have taken up another job as from today - Drop them in the shit a bit!
