I currently engage in promotion of two "niche" markets. The Black Card. I currently advertise the blackcard from visa on google. That nets me 100 buckaroos per application. I also advertise the black card kit from blackcardkit.com and that pays me $5 per signup. I make between 25-and 55 bucks a day from the black card kit website. More like 55 on the weekends when people are home. And from the blackcard.com website, I average about 1000 per week through commision junction. These are just my two suggestions of out of the box marketing.

I mean, its not an affiliate network so I buy traffic from zango for the application for blackcardkit.com and stuff that. Also, since its a niche site, I just post of forums and blogs that pertain to this certain product. Competition is slim to non-existant. The black card application I currently expend 44-59 dollars a month on adwords for the ~3000 profit.
Forums and blogs work great for niche. Just do a like 10 minutes of research when you want to enter a niche and you'll get the basic mentality of the buyers and what they would notice as spam or a friendly recommendation.

Pretty difficult terms and conditions on the commission of black card:
"A commissionable item takes place when a customer enters the blackcard.com website and successfully completes the application, is approved for the credit card, activates said credit card, and makes payment of his/her first statement."

I agree it is a bit daunting, but you have to realize sometimes that if you see an ad often, or a product that is always being marketed, chances are someone is making money from it...
