Another link wheel question!

Question. I have checked my ranking today and the podcast social bookmark entry ranks higher than my main page. My main page is a blogspot blog. Was that a good idea? Should I rather change it to something else or should that actually be fine?

Will a .com domain name help a lot, or just a little?
