The whole point of this discussion is that SEO is not zero sum. It's in constant growth. Every single update there's a ton of new sites and competitors getting in the game and overall WWW traffic is growing, not steady. It's not just shuffling traffic among existing sites.

Every 6 months hundreds of thousands of new users join the Internet.

This, in itself, proves it's not zero sum. The number of users is growing monthly, daily, hourly.

If you do some research you'll find out that the nr of keywords searched for is growing as well.

Absolutely nothing is zero sum in SEO. That's the point.

Last 10 pages are about people arguing whether or not seo is a zero sum game. fucking hell.. move on guys. This thread is about a google update. Would be a lot better to share your findings here.
 
June 2019 core is not really personal they just improve some functionality
 
Monitor 200+ websites actively..another 300 passively. Some observations thus far:

- Some emphasis on YMYL sites. Actually saw this pre-core update. Around May 8, I saw a client I do some consulting for get absolutely murdered. All natural links, amazing content, huge readership...pow..70% loss.
- Most of my ecom sites have remained stable, with some uptick.
- Cryto niche seeing a huge amount of shuffling
- Most losses were a (-3 to -6) ranking loss and sitewide. Not page specific.


Looks like this is mostly an onpage update, with some concurrent Penguin(esk) updates rolling to create some "FUD". Overall, business as usual.

hmm funny , these two days my organic traffic increase a bit. I don't know . I think due to the niche i do perhaps
as every niche got a " season period up and down " on top with this google update , last week hurt badly on the site
but these two days kinda regain back to normal traffic used to be the organic search

BUT one thing piss off the adsense , is screw up , ads never display on desktop , mobile side seem less ad.

Traffic is quality , account is clean , don't know what happen on Google adsense side
 
I posted in here previously. As of June 20th, I've been seeing nothing major to my sites. Some good, some bad.

Mostly, it has only been a several position change on a per keyword basis. Only one keyword has went from page 2 to page 8. I wasn't giving it a lot of attention anyway, but it's noteworthy.
 
I have got a client in the health niche which has been hit seriously - most of our traffic was from blog posts and we’ve lost 50% of it. No dodgy link building and our service pages seem to of dropped from 1st page to 3rd - seems to be site wide.

Anyone else experienced anything similar? I am seeing a lot about E-A-T around.
 
I have 2 blogs, the one is tech site and the other one is beauty site. The beauty site isn't affected but the tech blog is tanked hard by this update. The blog lost almost 95% of traffic. These blogs are 100% whitehat, No PBN, no blackhat links. My amazon earnings dropped 50%.

Anyone has a success story to fix a site affected June 2019 google algorithm update?
 
This seems to be same rules Google always had only their ability to control them has become stronger...

Nope... AOL, Yahoo, AltaVista all where around before Google made an impact. If it wasn't google it would be something else.

I would like to disagree with this statement. There were plenty of search engines operating in the market before Google was a thing. Had Google not exited, we would have been optimizing for Yahoo (the biggest search engine at the time) or Alta Vista/AskJeeves etc.

sadly now is Google , so call king of internet. Don't forget smartphone andriod also owned by them , now smartphone is inergrated with internet .
and google own both side

I am seeing now VERY STRANGE THING! It started 2 hours ago

All my my pages for main KWS are not showing on google on their positions
but some are showing for 1-2 places as always on mobile devices, but sometimes NO LOL, but then again are showing
when I am checking google with site:mysite , I see that all pages are still showing and indexed

In my google anaytics, all is showing 0-0-0, but 2 hours ago all was fine, also some stats are rolled back 2 days ago OMG

PS: my site still having active users and my traffic is still the same, google analytics showing people browsing my site also
PS2:all WP stats are normal as always



WTF IS HAPPENING GOOGLE I AM AFRAID!
