I had a 40% reduction, but upon further investigation my clicks per day have gone to the exact same level as on the day of the March 12th update. I think it's a roll back for them to fix the indexing issue they had, probably no other way for them to fix it. So what I think is hapenning is all the links from March until now have not yet been processed and added into their link map/algorithm. So probably more newer and up and coming websites have been more affected. my 2 cents

Is it completed or still the update is on? I did not see much changes for any of my web. It is usual 2-3 points up and down which happens otherwise also

I read that Google said it would take a week to tell out. So maybe depending on your index rate? My site saw movement after 48 hours. Site gets crawled every 1-2 days.

Would be great if we could share and hopefully find out what google specifically was targeting in this update so we who lost rank could get back in top again.
I got a handful amazon review websites in different niches and something they all got incommon is they all lost 30-50% traffic. But when checking other sites in a certain tech niche that dominated most searches before have lost ranking as well and they are selling their own products and not using affiliate links so I don't think it has anything to do with that. All my websites are 5-7 years old and all whitehat and never been hit before in a google update.

man even your site " claim white hat also been hit " ....guess this update Does affect more folks than the last. Those claim suddenly ranking ok etc , maybe have to check again ,
I just noticed my site got hammer is just after few days from this update . Intially I thought never get affect, traffic seem here
this weekend I suddenly noticed huge drop .etc even my Adsense ad getting lesser as traffic low

You just hit the point and confirmed my assumption. If a domain has a good amount of solid relevant back links, it can pretty much outrank other sites, regardless of the actual page in question is. Having a high DA also helps.

Yup. Fine from Google's perspective. I also think author box links are treated differently than editorial links, but either will be fine if it's found in a valuable piece of content that helps users.

I didn't realize my site was hit too because the traffic seemed to have remained the same.
But that's because as the update was rolling out, my Pinterest traffic was rising tremendously.
Really tough to tell where IM is headed.

I thought it was news. They mentioned something a while back about it, and when people said the update was rolling out that news category was the only one i could see with changes on semrush sensor ... could be wrong but I thought it was all about news

Just checked some of my websites using ahrefs. Looks like two websites benefited from the update:
This website even doubled the traffic just in one day...to the moon
Two other websites got hit and lost its ranking (now its somewhere on page 5).
Overall I would say some websites lost traffic and some increased it a lot. No win or lose. Lets see where it goes. Its not predictable in my opinion.
EDIT: For those asking: I am checking the organic traffic using Ahrefs.

I think they remove the nofollow from links with a certain nr of votes.
Anyway Reddit has dominated the SERPs for many kw's, they're all over the place now.
