Another Geeky Journey Thread to $1,000 a week.

So, i'm fairly new here but not to the IM world in general. I've been making good bank managing SEO for clients and outsourcing most of the work. Obviously, with Google changes, i'm looking at diversifying my revenues elsewhere. So here is my Journal on getting up to 1k a week or 4k a month etc.

I want you all to pile in on me and push me to work harder and smarter because as a rule I'm pretty lazy.

I have the following skillsets:

basic PHP/HTML/C#/JAVA
unlimited time
Access to a range of scripts/seo/im based stuff
Money as required
Basic PPV experience
SEO Experience

I'm going to be really trying to do this without relying upon SEO or Google/PPC etc. So i'm open to any suggestions or directions you might have.

Anyway, thats it for the moment...i'll update later when I pick a method and start working.

Okay, so i've been a bit delayed the last week or so but im now on deck

So in light of the blackhat nature of this forum my first little foray into earning is going to be product based. So i've found a fairly popular product on CB in a non-IM niche. It appears to be converting because gravity is decent and whatrunswhere shows that its getting a fair amount of traffic from mediabuys and PPC.

So....i've ripped the sales page and product and have literally copied it and uploaded it to a domain. The product buy now links straight to a paypal payment and then directs to the product.

The sales page is a shocker...really terrible looking but it is converting so i'll pretty much leave it as is for the time being and see whether I can get a few sales and get some data on the niche. Once I actually have some sales and know what the conversions are i'll actually develop my own product based on his and significantly change the sales page thereby having my own legit product. I wont go down that path until I know what the REAL data shows.

So thats pretty much it for the time being...Later on today i'll start creating some campaigns on adcenter and maybe look at some display advertising based on what they are doing and what sites they are targeting via Google.

I would say im similar to yourself mindset wise.
Web developer by trade but looking to move into the IM/SEO industry.

Quick Update:

I have added a google adwords campaign based on the actual advertisers bid keywords. I have also added a display image campaign based on the guys image and his targeted sites. CPC seems to be between 0.25 and 0.50 a click so if I can average better than a 1.0% conversion rate then i'm golden

Okay, so a quick update.

Goggle...in their infinite wisdom banned my PPC account overnight for a 4 year old campaign that was paused and forgotten about. So i'm going to have to move everything over to adcenter. I'll update everyone when I have the stats.
