Great article this...
So either the US will be thankful or they will work with the Chinese government to crack down harder.
Considering US approach to matters online is resembling China more and more...This does not bode well
90% of Chinese sites are sqli, rfi, anon ftp, webdav.... exploitable. A simple scan on most .cn sites will list you multiple exploit entries.
These people where unable to get into the email accounts or get their hands on actual documents that they would be able to release. So they just defaced the sites.... I mean cmon, defacing is soooooo 1990's. No real IT person would think of a defacement as a "hack".
Once again, the reason that they did the defacement's was because they where unable to gain access to actual sensitive material.
It's probably a futile exercise, but it's nice to see it happen instead of seeing screenshots of it after the fact. Are people in China actually unaware that their internet is filtered? I've always kind of assumed they all knew anyway.
Thanks for sharing!
