Animated avatar?

I've been trying to set an animated GIF as my avatar, but I can't get it to work. When I upload the GIF, it's not longer animated. When I host it and enter the URL for it, I get, "Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.".

I've seen others users with animated avartars which are not in the default list. Any ideas?

EDIT: Nevermind, solved it.

really stupid question. how do you upload an avatar? cant seem to figure it out. I believe I have been a member for more than long enough...

Yeah, the height of my GIF was 105px, so when I uploaded it, it was resized which was causing it to become static. Resized it manually and it worked.

Animated avatar?
