I am not familiar with Angela's method, although I have seen and downloaded a copy of Paul's backlinks and from what I understood is that they work together, so I guess they are similar. But really, it does not matter if I know the method or not.
Thing is, that if lots of people use the same method and especially if they use the exact same websites, sooner or later the SE's will see a pattern and that pattern is one of manipulation and that is something the SE's do not like.
If you insist on using a public (or paid) list of websites to get backlinks from, you'd better make sure the pattern of manipulation is as little visible to the SE's as possible.
That means IMO:
- Do not use ALL websites from the list, only post your link on something like 25% of the websites on the list
- Make sure you get backlinks from websites that are NOT on the list
In short, diversify your backlink profile and you have a better chance of not being detected as a manipulator

i make own lists the same way like angela and paul do, and add as much as i can everyday (50-100 backlinks),don't worry, google will not ban you, even if you add 500 backlinks daily, this is a myth, and i have good results, my positions and traffic are still increasing
No, it is not a penalty, how and why would Google even notice you for building 60 links? They won't, this isn't nearly enough backlinks to even raise a red flag, you would need to literally build thousands on links a day to even get noticed.
You are in fact experiencing the "Google Dance", everyone's site goes through this no matter what how you build get your backlinks.

If they're not on high pr pages and you basically have to promote your backlink pages (backlink your backlinks), how is this "technique" any better than article marketing?
It seems that it takes much more time and it's just for linking whereas article marketing will bring traffic as well as just links.

And if it does not, there are a ton of places that change any webpage to RSS feed, which you can then submit
I posted the link above, it's only $5 and its well worth it.
You do not have to backlink your links, that is a waste of time. All the links get picked up by the search engines so there is no need to do anything else.

Hey Paul,
They sure get picked up by search engines but if you build backlinks for those it will definitely place your profile on the first page of Google which by the way means that it has received the link juice needed which again gets passed on to your anchor text through the ******** link.

There are lot of ways where these kinda backlinks are found.. You can also find it.
Don't waste your bucks BHW'ers in getting those stuff.. With our knowledge, we can do more than that.
I do it... I can find 5-15 new sites daily on my own in RELEVANT category.

If you think $5 is wasting your bucks, then how much do you really value your business. The main reason why these packets are out, is because most markers don't have the time to find the links themselves. The most important aspect in any business online or offline, is time. There is never enough time in a day to do everything. Yes, you can find your own links, and thats always a good thing, but that eats away time that could of been spent growing and improving your business.

I agree that without some extra action the backlinks you create like this take a very long time to be picked up by Google - so far none of mine have.
But if I backlink the backlink with say, Digg, will that actually help? Because Digg is nofollow right?
What about pinging my profile page of the forum I have posted backlinks on? Would that work?
Which social networking site are you using to backlink your backlinks, that actually works?
