Angela Backlinking - am I doing it wrongly?

It's strange...

I did some Angela backlinking (create profile > anchor links > ping > submit RSS to RSS aggregators) to my old websites. But their ranking didn't rise at all.

Am I doing it wrongly?

Well Angelas are very saturated now, you might see some rises in ranks in the next day or so. Like I said they are hugely popular now, which means the link juice from the sites they advertise decreases significantly.

Sidenote: That's exactly why I started the site in my sig. :)
 
Try pauls link packets instead and see what you get.

Pauls were far more straight forward profiles then angelas. And ontop of that, alot of angela's links didnt even allow for anchor text. Which kinda defeats the purpose a bit.

Usually it takes a week for my sites to start moving though. Sometimes longer, but with profile links (If you dont ping them), they are slowly found by google. So its a slow rise, not a google sniper method.

Sorry to sound noobish, but... what is Paul links? I've heard of it but I don't know what is it.

Been waiting since June for Angelas links to show up. I have about 300 links planted. I see only 5. So i checked all my plants and they are all still there. I dont think Google is giving credit for profile links anymore unless you actually post.

I think her packet is a waste of money. I canceled last month. I have seen little to no results in 5 months.

Well, its like the same links. But done by a guy called paul, instead of a woman named angela :P.

I find his far more straight forward. And far easier to signup, plant your link, WITH anchor text and then leave.

Other then that, find your own ;). Plenty of footprints of forums/CMS systems that you can use to find your own "angela" style links.

Also, dont worry about them not showing in any backlink tracker. Google finds your links far quicker then yahoo ever could, but just dont show it. All you want to see is results, not backlinks in yahoo site explorer.

When I checked angelas links in site explorer there were a ton of nofollow, so maybe this will help. I've never actually seen one of those packets though.
 
know your niche.
if your niche includes alot of marketing.
then you shld know that there will be blackhatters too.

so blackhat method might not work so well there.

Work on organic SEO and then buy angela backlinks from our members at BHW. :)
 
Try to keep your competition backlinks under 100 or so, then go for web 2.0 social networking sites. I find I get the most juice from them and not from forums.

Besides, in the next google update, I hear they are going to favor social sites much more because they are so entrenched and have way more users than most forums.
 
I find it best to wait a few months with angelas links when they have removed a lot of the links from the sites. Registrations seem to be reopened and the sig / bio box seems to be re-enabled again

You mean pinging the backlinks you have created?
If so how do you do that?

okay, I think it's you enter the url of the backlink into the ping-o-matic or somekind of service, right?
 
Yes, you can ping them. But beware.. if all your links are indexed at such a fast pace, Google MIGHT think you're building too many links at once.

Just go to www.pingdevice.com
Put all the profile links... ping it.
 
thank you, for the beginning I will ping about 1 or 2 backlinks every day...
 
Been using Angela Packets and it sad to say that some of the site in the packet list has already updated and they don't allow to post links anymore or some just remove the link.
I prefer to used Pauls Packets and Terry packets. Terry Packets is doing links on forums.

wait a few months and they will re-open signups and link posting.. seen this happen a few times
