Guys im not sure what people on youtube are talking about, I been running FB ads for years, and with this new update i have noticed 0 change in my Fb ads. Nothing new as far as how my campaigns are structured and results, I've always been running ads the same way and it's just been working the same ever since. I've split tested the whole broad audience, and selecting an audience thing; these days people say that selecting an audience is absolutely useless since the new update mitigates the need to do such a thing. Though, when I don't choose an audience my results cost shoot up 4x or more! What gives?

If someone says that audience targeting is useless, ask them what they would do to replace targeting. Or do they believe Facebook will automatically deliver ads to the most suitable audience based on AI?

That is exactly the popular thought i see the youtube children talking about these days lol

It sounds like you've found a good way to organize your efforts. Sometimes, when a platform updates, you don't have to change a winning strategy if your results are already stable. It can be wiser to keep an eye on how your campaign is doing and stick with what works best for you, rather than following every online comment. If manually choosing your audience is still lowering your costs, it might be a good idea to trust your tested setup.

honestly most of these updates are just hype, if interests work for you dont switch to broad.

Tbh that update sounds overhyped, if broad makes your CPA 4x higher then clearly targeting still matters, just run what your data shows working and ignore youtube noise.

Most updates are overhyped. Broad works but not for every niche so test both.

If costs jump stay with targeting that works for you.

yeah i think it depends on the account and their niches, and also some people see better results with broad targeting but others still get better performance with specific audiences and testing both is the best way to know what works the best.

hi not every update affects all accounts the same way because if your audience targeting is still giving better results then keep testing based on your own data instead of following trends.
