"By default, apps on Android do not automatically use a proxy, even if a proxy is set up in the system's Wi-Fi or network settings. You need to google how to make the proxy work on the app. This may be what's causing the issue."
Is this true? Does anyone have a source? How do you get around this? Why does it even allow you to set up a proxy if it's just going to be ignored? What about all the people who set up a proxy and don't know that for some reason it's secretly not working?
