First of all, do you really need an app or would a web based app also work?

I can tell you my experience in Europe and especially Germany. It's quite pricy. Starting around 300€ ($390) for a native app and starting at 500€ ($650) for a cross platform app depending on your targets (iOS, Android, Blackberry and so on).

If I had to do the job I'd use a cross-platform base but only target my main or my two main platforms. These targets are normally android and iOS.

It works using RSS feed for getting data of your site, the layout/design can be easily customized by yourself using their CMS! It works great, I created an app myself using their platform and it works great! If you have questions/problems with creating an app there, just PM me!
