i love android and i have been learning how to program it but it sucks knowing people in android community tend to want freebies.
i know i may get flammed over this,but think about it.we programmers work hard on it but they just want to be free,it may me think think
apple probably do the right thing.i was thinking about monetizing,the most i can think off is ads but with few cents a click,it is like WTF.
all i can think off,if u want to make money off it,u must the king of all kings but we mediocre programmers would not even have a fighting
chance..even mediocre internet marketers can dig up a few hundred every month.i don`t know maybe i am new to this.

your opinion?

you trick those cheap people. Give them a basic app for free and charge for extras, look at all the top grossing apps.
its all about those in-app purchases.

Google about it and read how many Android developers are complaining about this. It's very difficult to make money with Android apps. Ads like Admob doesn't give you 1/10 of normal Adsense earnings. So I think you can better focus on web development instead of mobile app development.

a sdk of amazon really does the good job. It actually works like admob or others but what it does is, when anyone buys anything using that link( displayed in your app ) you get paid. And yes, android has thousands of alternatives and it is open market. So, competition is higher. So, like other said, in app purchasing is the best option around or get some better idea or unique idea on existing app and make it paid.off course, make a trial version of it
