I have an android chat application that I have developed and it is almost finished. Do you think this application will attract attention in Google play?

If you're talking about just chatting app such as WhatsApp, unfortunately I don't think.

But if you did a niche (e.g. adult chat, stranger chat) chatting app, you can be popular with right advertising planning.

stranger chat app idea is one of the amazing niche...you will find many users.
