Hey guys,

about two years ago, when I was still a newb when it comes to the app business, I hired a freelancer to create an application for me. The app is pretty simple, no sorcery here, some might even call it spam.

I monetized the app using admob and mobilecore and made decent money with it (around 50.000).

After a while, Mobilecore updated its SDK, and the old one was shut down and didn´t serve ads anymore. From that point on, I only had admob banners in my app. This still gives me, after 2 years, 10 bucks a day.

Why didn´t I simply change the SDK? As I mentioned, being a newb I wasn´t aware how important the signing key of the app was. I didn´t request that key initially and never managed to get it in my hands from the freelancer I hired back then.

Do you guys have any recommendations what to do with that app? How can I "squeeze" more money out of it?

Thanks!

I can´t update it since I don´t have the signing keys.

do you have any control over google play dev console? If so you don't need any signing keys. You can just recreate it from scratch. Please refer to h ttps://developer.android.com/studio/publish/app-signing.html .PM me if it doesn't make sense.

I write app reviews and also promote mobile app, you can PM me for partnership

I have full access to the dev console. Even if I could re-create a signing key, the source code is incomplete. That means I only have access to the dev console. Any idea what I could do with that app?
Thanks!

Source code is another issue. There are two options, You can rewrite your application (contract with somebody to do it)or figure out what part is missing and complete it. As per my experience first one would be more viable option. I cannot say anything further because decision depends on the complexity of your app.
