And this is how Google detects AI content in seconds

anyone that just copy-pastes AI content will fail
They don't even copy-paste, they use bots to generate and directly post on sites all on the go.
And yes, that's the mistake people are doing. You need to add some energy so you can get something out...

This is a new era of copywriting. Whatever you use Ai, you should provide smart content and great value. In the end, it's always the reader who will decide (to stay or bounce) and google will just apply the right rank.

Think google as a bot and not as an army of 1000s of individuals going through each of webpage available on internet to read them an decide if it's a human written article or AI generated. The facts you mentioned are applicable to both AI and manual content. Overdoing is always harmful no matter how it's done. GTP-3 is a decent AI and GTP4 is already around corner. If google has to decide any content is AI, it has to go through lots of logical conditions. and being said the money they have to spend on these bots/ crawlers will not be an economical way for them as the content on internet will explode exponentially as AI tools gets matured over the period of time. So even though your speculations are true to believe, it's next to impossible for a bot to distinguish between AI written and manual generated content. At max they can penalize by "quality " of content which can be applicable to any of the content.

Top 5 reasons:

1) H2: one of the ramifications of bot-generated content is precisely PAAs. A bunch of H2 with super repetitive (or random) content. Keywords in H2 multiple times...so predictable.

2) Totally random stuff: you ask the robot to write an article about horses. You use a keyword scraper and everything is created automatically. Result: your 2500 word article is garbage that talks about horses, seahorses, zoophilia, trojans and anything else that was picked up by the bot.

3) Extremely repetitive content: unfortunately mankind has not developed enough to create a really competent robot writer. We are at the beginning of this, it is understandable, if you have ever read a text created by a robot, you know that probably the same facts will be repeated three or four times in the same post. Now imagine 3 facts that are repeated 4 times in the post...12 parts of your post is repetitive content and extremely monotonous for a human reader.

4) Low quality: continuing what I mentioned above about repetitive content. Your text will be low quality, random stuff + repeated facts. How does Google know that your text is junk? Well, the bounce rate is high, people won't come back to your site and they won't be interested in reading another post either. Oh, and probably the appearance of these sites is pathetic, self-generated or self-added images (often unrelated to the topic), or worse: youtube videos that also have nothing to do with the situation described.

5) Fake News: at the peak of the fight against lies propagated on the internet, do you really want to create hundreds or thousands of posts without reviewing anything? These automatically generated posts are full of lies, wrong historical facts, misinformation...and this all puts you on Google's radar that is on a crusade against sites that spread lies.

Advice for everyone who wants to do something really serious and not just a game of cat and mouse with Google: start using this as it should be used, it's just a tool, a friend to help you, review everything this tool generates, write a few paragraphs manually, invest your time building a site with really nice design and not just a standard junk with a ordinary theme.

Don't create articles full of repetitive H2. Don't create articles with only questions and answers. Don't pollute your article with 500x the keyword, this attracts attention in a negative way. Check all the information generated. Read carefully and see if it makes sense, correct informational and grammatical errors. If a term is repeated too much, look for synonyms, the readability of your article is unbearable with these machines writing the same word over and over again, etc.
Interesting article, especially as there are so many AI bots about

I think Gpt3 is a fabulous tool, in the end the important thing is that it is only an extension of your strategy. I no longer use copywriters to generate content from scratch, but I do use it to accommodate them and leave them as a 100% functional content.

I pretty much agree with the original post but will add a caveat. All the points are true for English content. As soon as it's in other languages, it's easier to get through.
I've seen content in languages other than English that was clearly generated by AI and that appeared in the first search results of Google.

Sure, Google is not able to detect articles with 30 almost identical H2 + articles full of lies + a 3000 word article with the keyword repeated 186 times, etc...very low quality, whether human or robotic will be swept by google
Imagine a writer doing that. It would be a 1 star writer that would be ditched in no time.

AI content is truly garbage. It only has good punctuation.

Other than that, spun text is king. And it still ranks, on black hat niches.

AI is in the beginning stage and only people with deep pockets (like 7 figure PBN owners) can make reasonable use of that.

For average folks, it's just a tool similar to text to speech. Or another money making machine if you sell SaaS.

Nope. With minimal manual intervention, the articles produced by tools like Jasper , wordhero, you will not be able to distinguish between AI content and manual content. That said, the part AI tools lag is having correct facts and figures which manual intervention can take care of.

These guidelines aren't just for AI (which google can't really identify) but for anyone writing articles. Too often they are repetitive, full of words that only serve to augment the text and with unnecessary repetitions of the keyword: they are done by amateurs.

This is so true. I use AI writers to generate content for me on a site daily. This didn’t work and got very little traffic even from the best AI writers. Once i started to go through each article, the same sort of things happened that you described. Then started to do some changes to my articles and then traffic started to pick up.
