Advice for everyone who wants to do something really serious and not just a game of cat and mouse with Google: start using this as it should be used, it's just a tool, a friend to help you, review everything this tool generates, write a few paragraphs manually, invest your time building a site with really nice design and not just a standard junk with a ordinary theme.

Don't create articles full of repetitive H2. Don't create articles with only questions and answers. Don't pollute your article with 500x the keyword, this attracts attention in a negative way. Check all the information generated. Read carefully and see if it makes sense, correct informational and grammatical errors. If a term is repeated too much, look for synonyms, the readability of your article is unbearable with these machines writing the same word over and over again, etc.

Been saying this myself for the past 2 months.

Their so called Helpful Content Update was unhelpful to say the least.
 
I really think this can be said about almost all content. If you use solid prompts and give AI good data to work with, it is actually capable to generating interesting content though.

If I pay someone to do the research and write articles it will cost significantly more than using AI to generate articles. AI will keep getting better, both in terms of models as well as the hardware to run them. It seems better to just use an AI workflow and keep reinvesting and improving upon it so that Google Updates do not hit as bad.

There are so many people out there just making up their BS assumptions based on how they FEEL about the Google algorithm and not real data, then comes up with their bro-science hypothesis presented as facts in a 500-word generic article and then argue with people who are monitoring hundreds of SERPs a day.

One of my sites had scrapped content (multiple sources of top 10 sites. I translated them and again paraphrased them. They passed 100% copyscape, smallseotools etcv. The site was doing fine until the latest update in Sep, Oct.

The h2 were not PAA but were generated using surferseo. Still the site got hit.
 
Most of the OP points are valid, but that's not the whole thing.

Sure, sanitizing the content and having a well-made website is a must. But people were affected even when these and more things were applied, even sites that were not having A.I. content were affected.

Only a few know what's really going on.
 
I mean honestly, just plumb in your keywords in Article Fiesta and it handles all of this for you

How come anytime I look something up the top news results are still fake? They seem to be doing well. Big names. Weird.

Not all bots create H2 or may just use keywords to make it and do not create too many.
Keywords may also manually be looked at by the botters and even then some relevance may exist between articles and each piece of content can still rank for the targeted keyword. Duplicates and canibalisation are ok, search engines should just be able to pick the best of the articles and put less weight on the rest. Youtube videos doing what described is hard to detect, and many AI writers are also getting good at creating content as if a human wrote it and some lower quality ones still do exist for pages with no competition. Fake news is also hard for google to verify automatically.
 
I use my jasper unlimited boss account with Squirrely SEO and have not had any problems having content ranked.

Where I will agree is that anyone that just copy-pastes AI content will fail, I don't agree that the tech is new. It's been in development for 4+ years. AI content is cheaper than having a human write content, but you still need to put in some work with AI content. There is editing required. AI content is only useless if you use it as a way to do less work. SEO is kind of simple: Do the work and it will rank. BHW is filled to the brim with people looking to make money by doing as little as possible and nothing works that way. If you want to make money, then you have to work for it. There are no shortcuts.
