Anchor Text Question

Quick question about anchor text. Lets say I am trying to rank for 3 keywords: auto loans, car loans and boat loans.

When building backlinks should I put anchor text and include all 3 keywords or have only 1 keyword per anchor text? Maybe seperate them with a comma?

You can do this by submitting your article to hundreds of article directories or blogs of different class c IPs
 
You can use myipneighbors.com to not only check the IP address, but also see what other websites are on the same IP.
 
I've had the best luck with submitting articles to the article directories. The links are durable and very effective for boosting your rankings. I use wordflood to rewrite my articles and make them at least 30% unique.

True story: back in the days when you could put up splogs by the bazillion and they actually had an effect on the SE's. Someone put up a bazillion of them with automated software with an anchor for a certain keyword. Let's say that this keyword was "forex trading" (wink). Let us also say that this certain SE was far less sophisticated in those days and we'll call that SE, MSN (wink). When this strategy reached a certain "critical mass" of splogs, say 30,000 or so, something amazing happened. The page this anchor pointed to rocketed up in the rankings for that keyword and hit #1 almost overnight. This keyword was pretty lucrative in adsense and this person thought they'd found the holy grail: they made like $800 in a single day with adsense. Alas, this was not to last: within a week or so the web page plummeted into the bowels of that certain SE and was never seen again... They say if you listen hard you still hear the shouts of joy made by this person and echoing through all eternity when they thought they were finally not going to have to worry about money anymore...

Lol good story and good information above.. but no one answered my question.

If I was ranking for the 3 keywords above should I include all 3 when building my links? an example:

< a href="http://www.coolcarloans">Car loans, Auto loans, Boat loans</ a >

or should I limit to 1 keyword phrase per link? ex:

< a href="http://www.coolcarloans">Car loans</ a >
 
This is very interesting, I have never heard of Article Directories. Does anyone know of a good source to learn more about this, and the good directories to submit the article to? I hate to ask, but is there a way to auto submit?

It's best to have a variety of anchored backlinks. Google has a way of telling if you are anchor text spamming and they will discount your backlinks. You have the right idea of using car loans one time, then boat loans then next etc.

You should try to find out what terms are bringing you traffic then get some backlinks to reinforce those terms too.

Also, don't just link to your homepage, make sure to deep link as well. Google can detect this also and discount links.

To be honest though I'm not sure if "car loans, boat loans, airplane loans" would get you ranked for those terms individually. Seems like it wouldn't work as you don't really see spammy keyword chain anchor links.

I just found 2 tools this weekend which may help you: sheerseoDOTcom and analyzebacklinksDOTcom -the latter has really been helping out alot. basically for one I analyzing the actor texts of sites ranking for words I want to rank for. it seems that precise keywords really help just make ure 90% aren't the same word/phrase. it's also interesting to see how some websites are ranking for some words with just a few links. i see alot of article marketing going on there it seems.... those tools can do alot of stuff I am still figuring it out but they may certainly help. also I am thinking if a website ranks really well for a term with just one link, then that is probably some sort of authority site to check out (and maybe get a link too....)

These are bad examples because without even looking you are never going to rank a single page or a domain for all 3 of these, maybe drop the boats.
Auto and car are seen as the same word by G00GLE (~SEPS) loans are all so seen as Finance credit rates again all are (SEPS)
All this has to be taken into account before mixing anchor text

Start a spreadsheet see what the percentages are for the top 50 sites on these terms also note the percentages for the single words
 
This was just an example, I am not actually trying to rank for those keywords.
 
Ya make sure you use different anchors, don't just build hundreds of backlinks with the same anchor. Otherwise Google may take notice and slap you in your face.
 
as far as seo and ip addresses, does it matter if all your IPs are on the same subnet?
