Hi guys,

I need your help. I'm in the top 5 for a keyword I'm trying to rank #1 for.

The blog post doesn't have any backlinks but it does have a lot of social signals. Is it safe to make the first backlink the anchor the keyword I'm trying to rank for or should I just make the anchor text generic or branded?

Go for branded, lsi, first if it doesn’t work then use only once or twice exact match

You can use LSIs, that's the right option at this time. Also some generic too fine.

I personally will do LSIs, this is the best option so far.

Generic and LSIs are good to go instead of exact match.

As everyone writes above. Mix the links but also look at ensuring that their % share is fairly even.
