Let's say my website is agency.com and I have subdomains for different types of services, for example SEO.

In this case the subdomain would be: seo.agency.com

When it comes to link building and to avoid over-optimization of anchor text, would it be the best to have the highest % of anchor text with naked url in this case?

I saw a lot of people recommending to have the highest % with branded anchors, but in this case the brand name would be: SEO Agency (subdomain = main keyword).

I did some research on Ahrefs and saw some websites having the highest % with branded anchors while others are having the highest % with naked url.

The above was just an example and for these sites the subdomain is always the keyword that I want to rank for. Similar case to EMD.

To keep it simple, I thought about something like:

50% naked url
25% branded
12,5% generic
12,5% LSI + partial/exact match

What do you think?

12.5 is too much for exact match. I would not use more than 5%. The rest is ok

Thank you :)

12,5% was meant to be LSI + partial/exact match combined.

I’d go with branded (I prefer branded to naked urls), but if it bothers you, you can always go with naked urls, there are no fixed rules.
