anchor text in blog comments?

Initially i was using anchor text, but feel i will get a lot better approval if i choose to use real sounding names in SB.

Can anyone tell me whether i should go with anchor text but less approval, or a lot more approval with real names?

IMO depends on whether your url is keyword rich on its own.

The way that I am doing it, is i am running a normal blog - I am writing 1 new post every two days. I then harvest and spam sites using SB that are appropriate to the post, with the post as the backlink rather than the main site. the url format is : domain.com/yyyy/mm/name-of-blog-post

What would you recommend based on that?

go for anchor text. less approval but more valuable

thanks spiider, i will wait for one more suggestion then act on it. I have just realized how i can get thousands of keywords and therefore blogs in SB, so i now have a nice list of 7.6k here with similar keywords to my intended post.

Anchors are the most important thing talking about backlinks, so stay with them better

thanks, I will use keywords. Then i will save the succeeded posts, check if they have linked after a few days and if not use real names.

using anchor text will make your backlink more relevant, if you use names it will not help in rankings, it will only pass PR juice (as long as it's a do-follow link)

I tend to see what other people have used before posting. if other people have used keywords as their anchor I'll do the same. If they haven't i'll use my name so at least i'm getting some juice from the site.

Are you suggesting that the name field should be the keyword instead of the real name?

Yeah. Real names only pass on PR juice (i knew this) however if you use your keyword as your name it will pass on rank juice too. OFC it has to be do-follow.

i will try that, thanks for the tip. BTW, do you put links directly on the comments? that way you can get clicks from blog readers as well?

No, i recommend you don't. Many blogs dont allow it, and many will just spam it when they see a link. The url field is more than sufficient.
