Anchor Text For Nofollow Links

Hi guys

I can't seem to find much info on this but does google take into consideration of anchor text type for nofollow links?

I understand that nofollow links don't carry the link juice from the referring site, but I'm still on the fence about anchor text.

I've seen a few top sites in my niche use the exact match keyword in their press releases. Can it be considered as over-optimisation?

I don't know the answer, but its generally assumed that no-follow links do play some part in link building efforts - perhaps Google consider them in some respect, or if not, then they are at least important for diversity and to keep your backlink profile looking natural.

So I think we can assume the same thing for the anchor text in no-follow links, it could be at least of some relevance and so I would say you should consider it in the same way you do with any other links.

Yes no follow links are important for your website's link building process. Because google wants a certain percentage of no follow links out of the total links. However, the anchor text must contain your keyword.

No, it makes no difference what anchor text you use for No Follow links because they do not pass ANY link juice. They have some affect in making your link building look natural and they have some effect in getting you real traffic if you they are published on a high traffic high authority site, but the anchor text you use here has absolutely no value whatsoever. No one know's how Google values nofollow links or anchor text.

With that said, I generally keep my nofollow links as brand, naked URL, or generic. Since the belief is that there's more weight towards d0follow links, I'd prefer they have exact/LSI anchors.
