TGIF! Last week, we talked about potential memecoins for the weekend, and I hope we got some good calls from the comments. This week, let’s digress a little and discuss stablecoins with DeFi benefits.

I’ve been watching USDS for quite some time and actually came to understand it while exploring Sky Protocol. The stablecoin is an upgraded version of DAI and offers staking as well as access to savings rate benefits across several DeFi protocols, including Sky.

I also noticed it’s trading on exchanges and tied to the USD equivalent. Anyway, aside from USDE, I don’t think there are any other stablecoins with similar functionalities and good APRs attached. Or are there? Please share your thoughts below.

Pretty much every CEX out there is offering decent APRs for both USDC & USDT, I dont really see the incentive to use other options apart from those 2 since theyre the most used.

Interesting take on USDS. I’ve heard about it but haven’t looked into it much. USDe is another one worth checking out—it uses a delta-neutral strategy to stay pegged and seems solid for DeFi. Also, USDB by Blast has been getting some attention since its launch. Curious to see how these compare in terms of APRs and real DeFi use cases. Anyone here using them?

For stablecoin staking, it's essential to compare rates across different platforms to find the best option, staking stablecoins is generally considered low risk

Haven’t really found another stablecoin with as sweet of a staking APR as USDS, but FRAX is worth keeping an eye on
