Hi analyzing a KW difficulty. I checked with allintitle:"keyword"

First page shows about 54k results with 3 pages of results for that keyword.

https://ibb.co/M5x7XrK

And when I go to Page 3, it shows 29 results.

So which one to trust for difficulty? Does it have 54k results or only 29 results?

I wasn´t quite sure about the answer myself so I did a little digging and asked around.

This is what I found!

From a Google Support page (This was asked a couple of years ago...

Also, when you go to the last page and scroll down to the bottom, Google actually takes the time to briefly explain why that happens...

I hope this helps, it has surely helped me...Thanks for asking!

This is a lousy way to check. Take a peak at some more recent keyword research tutorials or just get Ahrefs if you CBA.

it's confusing, just use support tools, such as Semrush, Ahrefs, etc.

for free can use ubersuggest, but they limit only to 3 searches every day

To expand more to this, I found this other resource from Google that touches on the topic....

If you take it as your only metric I 100% agree with you.

Personally, I do use it to gauge the full competitiveness of a keyword but I do like to see an approximation of the number of pages I will be competing against.

I do agree with 1.000.000.000% to assess the true level of competition of a keyword or how likely it will be to rank at the top of the SERPs is by conducting an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the SERP results showing for that particular keyword.

And this SERP analysis goes beyond just taking into account metrics like DA, PA, backlinks, and the number of referring domains.

This video tutorial by Nathan Gotch is a much closer representation of what I mean by SERP Analysis...

Lousy way to check? are you sure bro? I do have Ahrefs. Ahrefs SEMrush, KWfinder do not show actual Keyword difficulty no tool does.

That's why I did Allintitle check . Allintitle:"keyword"

I wanted to see how many pages are showing for that keyword. So at first it showed 54k+ then suddenly 29.

You can't analyze real competition without seeing how many pages ranking so I don't think it was a lousy way xD

I saw Nathan's video way back and I already know about this method.

But I wanted to see how many pages ranking for this keyword and first page showing 54k+ results but just on 5th page it showed 29 results so that raised my curiosity.

And we can safely say that Keyword has 29 pages ranking correct?

Nathan says DR 50 is good hahaha I Think its pretty strong for beginners especially if you have a fresh domain. For me I go for 30 and below

u nid to analyse the top 10 websites backlink to determine but not this

The first thing you need to check whether the first page of Google search for that keyword is filled with domains that has less authority than your domain. If it does, go for such keywords. That's the thumb rule to remember.
