i do not run any analysis software on my web pages except of the webmaster tools.

i used piwik a long time ago when i had a solid page which i sold.
so now i think about installing g analytics but i am really wondering if i don't give to much info to g with this ??

any thoughts on this?

Unfortunately they're tracking people using Chrome so it's no use avoiding analytics for the sake of privacy.

But yes, it does give them a lot more info about your site. And google is using all sorts of behavioral signals to rank sites and analytics is probably a part of the mix.

I support the view that any information is useful. Google Analytics helps with this, but the data also needs to be collected correctly. There are various ways (API) that help to export data from Google Analytics. I like to monitor the API in real time, so of all the methods https://www.owox.com/blog/articles/google-analytics-api-comparison/ it is he who is right for me. But if you have a large amount of data, you need to use Google BigQuery Export. Please write how this information is useful to you.
