Analytics / visitor stats for your web 2.0 sites?

Is it possible to get visitor analytics on your web 2.0 sites?
Amount of traffic, keywords they searched for, etc.

1. Can you put javascript on web 2.0 sites?
2. If so, yeah, I know don't put Google Analytics. Because they can track you. But if you put piwik on and the JS is hosted on one server, that's a footprint. So how can you get visitor stats for your web 2.0 sites?

Generally you don't. I wouldn't focus too much on web 2.0 sites. Pump and dump them. Keep creating more, blast them, repeat.

I did not use Google Analytics for web 2.0 sites, just use for blogs and static websites. But statcounter script may work for it. It is just like Google Analytics.

If you don't have control of the pages, which you don't have in most web 2.0 properties, you can either add javascript or pixel tracking to the site. Either way you have to be careful that you haven't just left a giant footprint all over hundreds of your sites. That's an easy target for Google or anyone else including your competitors.
