I've had 2 clicks from Adsense so far, $1.05 earned.

My site is roughly around 1 week old, 95% of my traffic is coming from Reddit, and the rest is Twitter. My content is cream of the crop man 100x better than my competition, but it seems like people just aren't interested in it as you can see my stats.

My bounce rate is pretty high and the avg time on site is so low I bet under 75% of the people aren't reading my content.

I've been adding quality content to my site everyday, and I plan on doing that for awhile.

Basically I want to ask should I be worried about my bounce rate & time one site? Or should I just carry on with creating content?

Also right now I'm just using social media, there is one particular keyword I plan on ranking for soon with about 200k traffic per month and would be relatively easy to rank for.

I'll tell your right now, from experience. If you reddit your stuff, your bounce rate will be high. That's essentially just Russian roulette of website links. Same with stumbleupon. Even if you have great content, the attention span of most redditors is like 12 seconds (including myself).

Hey goodluck with that. Here are stats for my 2 week old site.

150 visits from google. I got an exact keyword match domain and the searches the 2 main keywords I am going for gets 14k searches a month together. I am currently sitting second due to the competition being extremely low. I had one sale on amazon which got me 10 bucks and I have made about 8 bucks on google adsense. :)

Oh I see, so probably the best thing would try to rank on the keyword I want to target, and just not care so much about Reddit? Since someone using Google to search for something probably be more interested in the topic.

I myself don't browse Reddit at all, so I have no clue what the target audience is like. All I saw was the traffic is was bringing me, and I got excited.

Next week start to build some quality links for my keyword and see where it goes.

I used to waste my time with reddit :). The bounce rate is high, conversion sucks (most got adblock). Also it's a pretty negative audience. I've gotten maybe 50-60,000 hits from reddit but trust me, it's really not worth wasting your time. I just started micro-niche sites, one of them went viral for about a month by posting on a few related youtube videos with my site url. The only method of social network I use now is twitter with tweetattacks. But yeah, let the organic google traffic do you justice. & I personally wouldn't recommend putting adsense on a newly created site no matter how tempting it is (yes I know with that reddit traffic, it's really tempting :P). I'm waiting till my site actually has good content & is ranked on P1 + getting decent traffic before I monitize it.

The best traffic is from the search engines....
because by definition those people are actually searching for something.

even people that click on banners are not necessarily wanting or searching for something.

that is why in all of my PPC campaigns... I do NOT make the banner flashy so that people click on it... I do the opposite.. I make it dull... so that way by the time the click on it... it means they are REALLY interested in buying...

Just focus on improving the ranking for the keyword which you are targeting. You can expect decrease in bounce rate one you start getting SE traffic. Also keep you visitors engaged. Add images, videos and engage in conversation with our visitors(you can use the comment section for this). You can also run some kind of contest and offers some bonus to the top commentators.
